We can't all make it to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to celebrate Groundhog Day 2016, but a few area businesses are ready to help you make the most of the holiday right here in Central New York.

Check out the list of offers, deals and shows below.

Destiny USA is offering a whole host of different activities and specials for mall visitors on February 2. Anyone named Phil, or anyone who can spell "Punxsutawney" will get free valet parking. You can ride the carousel for free all day long. Watch a free screening of "Groundhog Day" in The Canyon, and if Phil sees his shadow, take advantage of a Winter Fun Day Pass extension. Get all the details here.

The Solvay Public Library is hosting a "Groundhog Day" movie marathon. The 1993 blockbuster hit starring Bill Murray will be playing nonstop from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Community Room. That's enough time for four full showings of the film, if you're feeling brave. Full event listing.

Sonic Drive-In is offering 1/2 off burgers all day if you're feeling hungry. Head to the location on 3808 Brewerton Road in North Syracuse, or check for a Sonic near you if you're outside Central NY.

Melting Pot of Syracuse in Destiny USA is offering cheese and chocolate fondue pots for $15 all day on Groundhog Day.

Looking for other ways to celebrate on your own? Here's a few ideas for how to have fun even if we end up with six more weeks of winter.

Watch the movie, obviously. "Groundhog Day" is available on iTunes and Amazon, and will be airing all day on February 2 on Comedy Central starting at 11:21 a.m. ET.

Drink a sweet vermouth, on the rocks, with a twist. Andie MacDowell's character Rita Hanson orders this cocktail that reminds her of Rome in the movie. Check out this recipe from The Mutineer.

Watch the actual ceremony. You have to get up early, but if you just have to know Punxsutawney Phil's prediction, you can stream the ceremony live beginning at 6 a.m. ET on VisitPA.com. The prediction is officially made at sunrise. On Tuesday that's at 7:26 a.m. ET, so tune in a bit earlier to make sure you don't miss it.

Learn about the origins of Groundhog Day. The tradition is rooted in a centuries-old legend about Candlemas Day that has grown into the yearly rodent-themed celebration. Find out more at Groundhog.org.
