Broncos will practice at Stanford University in California during Super Bowl week

The second week of Super Bowl 50 preparations by the Denver Broncos takes place in California where the game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

The Broncos’ buses departed from the UCHealth Training Center in Englewood Colorado on Sunday, January 31, taking the team to a chartered jet at Denver International Airport The plane later arrived in San Jose.

The Broncos are staying in Santa Clara.

Practice resumes at Stanford University where Executive Vice President for Football Operations John Elway played before becoming a Broncos Hall of Fame quarterback.

At Stanford, the Broncos use grass fields during the week before the Super Bowl game because that is the surface at Levi’s Stadium. Team practice is at both Stanford Stadium, which got new grass last summer, and Elliot Field, which has three practice area that have been reseeded with rye grass and newly lined. The Broncos will use the home team’s locker room at the stadium.

The Carolina Panthers practice at San Jose University and are staying in San Jose.

The Super Bowl will commence on February 7 at 4:40 PM MST.
