PDC Engineers Acquired by RESPEC
PDC Engineers, an infrastructure design firm focused on facilities, utilities, transportation, and land development services is pleased to announce its acquisition by RESPEC Inc. (Rapid City, SD). RESPEC is a global leader in geoscience, engineering, data, and integrated technology solutions for major industry sectors in mining, energy, water, natural resources, environmental, and infrastructure. The move brings together two 100 percent ESOP companies with more than 110 years of combined industry experience and revenues of $80 million.
RESPEC was founded in 1969 as a science and research company offering niche technical services. The firm has grown to include three business units focused on Mining & Energy, Water & Natural Resources, and Data & Technology. By joining forces with PDC, RESPEC will continue to offer advanced knowledge in these three service areas, now with the addition of Infrastructure with PDC’s inclusion into the company.
RESPEC and PDC will operate from twenty-five offices in fourteen states and two Canadian provinces and employ more than 450 technical professionals. The combined company will continue to do business as a 100% employee-owned company.
