When you use contract workers there are a few boxes which need to be ticked before they get started. Details may need to be gathered from the contract companies such as insurance documentation, organizational performance and health, safety and compliance certificates. You may also need to gather details from the subcontractors such as qualification cards (e.g. Safepass, OSHA 10 or CSCS) medical history or even PPE or uniform sizes. And that’s all before you get them orientated and ready to work!

At GoContractor, our customers tell us how much paperwork is involved in this process, making it hugely time consuming and costly. Take a look at the video above or read through the steps below to find out how you can automate everything so that all of the paperwork and even the orientation is handled online before the worker starts. You can even pass the cost onto the contractor if you so wish.

And how do you know that the same person who has completed the process is the person who arrives on day one? We take a series of photos to prove it! Request a free trial now.

Step 1: Add Your list of vendors to GoContractor

Upload your list of contract companies or vendors to the GoContractor platform. Include your main contact within the company.

Step 2: They login and upload their documents

Each contract company is given login details. They upload documents you want such as insurance details, certificates and forms. You’re then notified so they can be approved.

Step 3: They add their workers to GoContractor

Your contractors then add anyone they’re sending to your site to the orientation section of GoContractor. Each worker is sent a code which they use to register their personal details, upload qualification cards and complete their customized orientation course. (Our Course Builder allows you to build any number of orientation courses depending on the type or location of worker.)

Step 4: Workers Arrive Ready

Workers arrive at your facility with the confidence and knowledge they need to hit the ground running. You have all of their data and none of the workload!

And how do you know they are the same person who completed the orientation? We take a series of photos throughout the process to prove it to you when they arrive! Request a Free Trial Now!

Giving Control to Your Contractors

Contractor Control: The Nitty Gritty

In order to walk you through Contractor Control we spoke with Customer Success Manager Alina Mazur, our very own platform guru.

staff onboarding

Contractor Control offers customers two options: the We Pay and They Pay systems. The parent company decides which one they want to use.

  • We pay – means that the parent company pay for the contractor’s onboarding. When adding a We Pay contractor, the contract company receives their login details and Company Code. The parent company will be charged for every successful completion.
  • They Pay – contract companies pay for their own workers. With the They pay option, contract companies will receive their login details. Credits will have to be purchased in order to receive the Company Code. If the vendor has zero credits the Company Code remains inactive The parent company are in control of the per credit price that the vendor is paying.

Advantages of Contractor Control

With the introduction of Contractor Control, it means less administration work for you. It also means you have the option to pass on the payment for the onboarding to the appropriate company.

Contractor companies get to see their workers’ movement through the system so that they know who is ready to work and who is not. They can also export the entire range of GoContractor reports for their own records.
