Sen. Elena Parent Elected to Minority Caucus Leadership

ATLANTA (November 15, 2018) | Yesterday, Sen. Elena Parent (D – Atlanta) was elected to serve as the Minority Caucus Vice-Chair for Campaigns and Fundraising by her colleagues in the Minority Caucus. 

“At a crucial time as the Democratic Party makes gains in Georgia, I am honored to have been elected to this position by my colleagues,” said Sen. Parent. “While elections take place in November, campaigning, fundraising and advocating for the values of the Democratic Party is a year-round process. I look forward to working with both the Senate and House caucuses, as well as my constituents and the citizens of Georgia as we continue our momentum moving forward.”

In addition, Sen. Parent currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Senate DeKalb Delegation and Vice-Chair of the Working Families Legislative Caucus and previously served as the Deputy Whip for the Senate Minority Caucus. In addition to her leadership positions, Sen. Parent serves as Secretary of the Senate Government Oversight Committee and as a member of the Senate Education and Youth, Judiciary and Special Judiciary Committees.
