NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Metro police officer of the West Precinct was decommissioned after he was arrested for driving under the influence early Monday morning.
A Sumner County Sheriff’s deputy stopped Officer Mark Hatt for speeding on Center Point Road in Hendersonville.
During the stop, according to a release, the deputy determined Hatt showed clues of impairment.
Police said Hatt submitted to a blood alcohol test. Those results are pending.
He has since been assigned to desk duty and is scheduled to appear in court in December.
Hatt, 40, is a seven-year veteran with the Metro Nashville Police Department.
