    • You can travel whole year to Gilgit as it is located on silk road but skardu is closed due to heavy snowfall in December and January

        • You are wrong actually, You can visit Skardu during any time of the year, be it Dec, Jan, Feb or any other month. It never closes. If there is any land sliding due to heavy snow fall the road is closed for maximum 2 days and the site is cleared as soon as possible and is always ON.

          • Actuallu @waseemtahir:disqus vacations is meant to relax and enjoy, we been there last year and that was the worst experience to went there in winters plus road conditions is too miserable from Railkot bridge to Skardu. I never recommend some one to go and ruin the vacations in peak season of winter especially December and January.

            • Yeah! If you are going there for vacations then you shouldn’t go in winters. Temperature will be -9 C at average. And no one goes there in winters.
