2018 marks 450 years since the birth of St Aloysius Gonzaga SJ. Though Gonzaga only lived for 23 years, he gave up his life in service of the Lord, following the call of God. In 1591 the plague broke out in Rome and Gonzaga was helping in a hospital the Jesuits had opened for those affected by the disease, who were excluded and marginalized. He fell ill and died shortly after. Find out more about his life with Jesuits in Britain.
