Louise Redknapp filed for divorce back in March just after the Strictly tour ended, according to reports.

On Friday a family court judge granted the pair, who tied the knot in 1998, a divorce after concluding the relationship is "irretrievably" broken.

Paperwork showed that Strictly star Louise had filed for divorce and claimed the marriage had irretrievably broken down because of Jamie's "unreasonable behaviour".

Documents seen by The Sun on Sunday reveal Louise submitted for divorce when the Strictly tour wound down.

She previously said taking part in the BBC series turned her from a "Stepford wife" to the person "who I really am."

A source told The Sun on Sunday : "The marriage was over long before anyone previously believed.”

According to sources close to the couple, Jamie reportedly decided not to contest the divorce because he didn't want to cause any upset to their two young sons Charley, 13, and Beau, nine.

On Friday Judge Mulkis held that Jamie had behaved in such a way that Louise could not "reasonably be expected" to live with him.

The former Eternal singer and Strictly Come Dancing star, 43, confirmed she was living apart from her football pundit husband, 44, in October.

She said at the time she loved her 'amazing' partner, with whom she has two children, although she had come to feel like 'a sort of Stepford Wife' and she was 'coming back to who I really am.'

Earlier this week, Louise Redknapp’s smile seemed almost Eternal as she nervously took to a stage for her first solo gig in 15 years.

And watching from the wings on Friday night was her former Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton .

Neither Jamie, 44, a former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder who now works as a television pundit, nor Louise, 43, a founding member of the band Eternal who reached the final of the BBC's 2016 Strictly Come Dancing show, were in court.

A marriage formally ends when judges grant a decree absolute. A wife or husband can apply for a decree absolute six weeks after a decree nisi is granted.

Court documents said: "The Petitioner Louse Redknapp has sufficiently proved the contents of the petition herein and is entitled to a decree of (divorce), the marriage having irretrievably broken down, the facts found proved being the respondent's (Jamie's) unreasonable behaviour."

The documents add: "The respondent (Jamie) has behaved in such a way that the petitioner cannot reasonably be expected to live with the respondent."

It's said that the pair are expected to reach amicable terms on custody of their two sons.

Meanwhile, Louise - who was pictured still wearing her wedding ring on Friday morning - was filmed belting out her track Naked at a Strictly pal's wedding the evening before the pair's quickie divorce.

Mirror Online has contacted representatives for Louise and Jamie for comment.
