Destination LSE

Pre-departure online events for offer holders around the world

Each Destination LSE event is designed to help you answer a simple question about your next steps, or what to expect from LSE.

Each year, the School organises online Destination LSE pre-departure events for undergraduate, graduate and study abroad students who are joining LSE for the first time. Destination LSE events are designed to provide offer holders around the world with an informal opportunity to learn more about the School and to ask any questions they might have.

What to expect

Destination LSE events are intended to prepare you for life in London and welcome you into the LSE community. Each event is designed to help you answer a simple question about your next steps, or what to expect from LSE. The series will cover topics including where to find accommodation, budgeting, career development, joining Students' Union clubs and societies, finding part-time jobs, the learning support available to you on campus, and what to expect from your first weeks at the School.

Though each event will vary in size and structure, you should expect:

  • To learn more about the opportunities open to you as an LSE student, including those provided by services like LSE Careers, LSE LIFE and the LSE Students' Union.
  • To have the chance to put your questions about LSE, London and the UK to people who have already been through the experience of studying at LSE.
  • To get practical tips on how you can make the most of your first weeks and months at the School.
