The opening of the Wanda Metropolitano in LaLiga will be on September 16th or 17th against Málaga
We will start the competition against Girona FC, away. In week 2, we will visit UD Las Palmas and in the third week, will play against Valencia in Mestalla.
The first game of LaLiga at the Wanda Metropolitano will be played on the 16th or 17th of September. The opening match at our new home will be in the fourth week against Málaga. A historic moment for all the Atléticos in the opening season of the Wanda Metropolitano.
This morning, the draw of this season's schedule was held at the Real Federación Española de Fútbol. The dates of all the matches of the season are now available. We will start the competition in an away game against Girona FC (Saturday, 19th of August, at 20:15); in week 2 we will visit UD Las Palmas; and in the third week, we will play against Valencia in Mestalla. On August 24th, the draw of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League will be held. On the next day, the club will announce the information about the tickets sale (conditions for members, prices, and dates) for the first matches of LaLiga, as well as the Champions League, at the Wanda Metropolitano.
