Florida Department of Transportation officials are urging drivers to take a safety break during holiday travel days by offering free coffee along Florida’s Turnpike.
Officials want drivers to stop for a break if they are feeling fatigued.
On the heaviest travel days, drivers can stop at convenience stores or restaurants at any Turnpike service plazas and help themselves to a free cup of joe.
The complimentary coffee is available the following times:
- 11 p.m., Thursday, December 31 to 6 a.m., Friday, January
- 11 p.m., Friday, January 1 to 6 a.m., Saturday, January 2
Free Coffee Safety Breaks are among the expanded services being offered by Florida’s Turnpike.
