Description

Join The Reading League for our spring virtual symposium! Like all Reading League events, we are focused on building our collective knowledge base and clearing the “research to practice” pipeline by bringing you meaningful and motivating ideas and evidence-based practices that will make a difference in teachers’ and students’ lives.

During this challenging time, you can count on The Reading League to provide you with top-notch speakers providing relevant research and practical application that is useful for teachers AND for parents-as-teachers.

Session recordings will be distributed via email on Thursday, April 30. The link to access the recordings will take you to a platform that also contains the presentation PDFs, certificate of attendance and various other resources. All attendees (live event and recording only) will receive the link and participants are eligible for up to 12 professional development hours for this event.

FAQs

What donation amount do I need to provide to attend or receive the recordings?

The Reading League respectfully requests a tax deductible donation of $10 or more to view (either live or via recording) information provided during the symposium.

Where does my donation go?

The Reading League is a 501(c) (3) organization that relies on donations in order to continue its mission.

Who can purchase tickets?

The Reading League reserves the right to limit ticket sales to educators and other qualified attendees.

Can I purchase tickets for my colleagues?

You are encouraged to send registration information to your friends and colleagues. If you are registering for the live event on a colleague’s behalf, please ensure they are in fact able to attend. We have a limited number of live tickets available and anticipate we will reach maximum capacity quickly. Please reserve live event tickets ONLY for those who can attend.

What if I can't attend the live event(s) but want to receive the recording?

Please select the “recording only” registration type. Once you register for a "recording only" ticket, you will be added to our event-specific e-mail list and will be sent the recordings after the conclusion of the event. We anticipate that this event will reach full capacity quickly so please do not register for a ticket to the live event if you know in advance that you cannot attend.

What if I have registered for a live ticket but my schedule changed and I can no longer attend?

If you are aware of your scheduling conflict before April 26th, please e-mail Event Manager Madeline Chilbert (madeline@thereadingleague.org) and your live event ticket will be refunded. You can then register to receive the recording only. We are unable to adjust ticket types after April 26th.

What technology do I need access to in order to attend this virtual event?

Ensure you have access to a consistent internet connection. Access links to both Zoom sessions will be included in reminder e-mail being sent the morning of April 27th.

All sessions will be hosted on the Zoom webinar platform. You can learn more about Zoom and its system requirements here.

Can I forward my link(s) to a colleague so we can both log on?

Encourage your colleagues to register on their own for either the live event or to receive the recordings. Forwarding links to others puts undue stress on the Zoom system and may alter the quality of the broadcast.

What is your donation refund policy?

Refunds will not be offered. The Reading League thanks you for your donation.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Contact The Reading League Event Manager Madeline Chilbert at madeline@thereadingleague.org
