 Harmony During the Holidays!
Not delegating responsibilities and not asking for help are just two behaviors that increase your stress and decrease your energy, especially during the holiday season.

Below are helpful Brain Color Clues to help you and others de-stress your Brain Color personalities and create more harmonious holiday celebrations!

Yellow Brainers keep their energy up and their stress down by: Completing tasks without distractions, organizing holiday preparations, and being prepared and on time for celebrations.

Blue Brainers keep their energy up and their stress down by: Helping others and sharing festivities, making time to be with family and friends, and demonstrating their creativity.

Green Brainers keep their energy up and their stress down by: Scheduling quiet alone time, learning about their new technology, and staying within a budget when shopping.

Orange Brainers keep their energy up and their stress down by: Enjoying
impromptu sports or holiday activities, exercising, and attending parties with family members and friends.

Harmonious Holiday
Celebrations Tips

When your relatives and/or friends come to your home for the holidays or a special occasion, do you think they resemble the people on a Disney World dream vacation brochure or the “most wanted” listings at your local post office?

You can enjoy your relatives and friends during celebrations with less stress, appropriate gifts, and more time for fun if you understand the Brain Colors of everyone involved, including your own.

If you implement the following holiday and celebration tips, you can create more joy and harmony with other Brain Color individuals!

Assist a Yellow Brainer and help him or her plan the next family get-together. You will win a "respectable" 1st place ribbon.

Score points with a Blue Brainer. Give her or him a "love gift" when it is not a holiday or special occasion.

Give the Green Brainer a little extra solitude and privacy and he or she will not mumble "Bah, humbug!" at your celebration.

Delight an Orange Brainer with a "How did you do it?" or "It's exactly what I wanted!" surprise gift.

Did you know that between November 1st and January 15th approximately 29 holidays are observed by 7 of the world’s major religions?

Happy Holidays and a Joyful 2016!

Holiday Carrot Cake Ring
Most people are familiar with carrot cake as a dessert. Our family loves my Cousin Marilyn's Carrot Cake Ring recipe that is a vegetable side dish, which is easy, colorful, and delicious! I hope your family will enjoy this family tradition as much as ours.

Recipe for a small 6 cup ring mold
1- Cup unsalted sweet butter
3/4 - Cup dark brown sugar
2 - Eggs
1 - Cup shredded carrots
1- Tablespoon lemon juice
1- Tablespoon water
½ - Teaspoon salt
1½ - Cup sifted flour (substitute a 1 to 1  ratio gluten-free flour mixture)
½ - Baking soda
Crushed cornflake crumbs

Melt butter. Mix in brown sugar, eggs, and carrots. Add flour, salt, soda and baking soda to carrot mixture. Add water and lemon juice last.

Butter or oil 6 cup ring mold and dust with crushed cornflake crumbs or flour. Cornflakes makes the outside crispier. Fill mold with carrot mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Let mold cool before turning onto a round platter. To serve add cooked baby green peas to the center of the ring.

This recipe can be doubled and works well for a larger 12 cup ring mold. It can be made a day ahead and reheated.
