Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper became the 20th rookie in NFL history with 1,000 receiving yards on Sunday afternoon.

Cooper also joined Don Hutson, Ozzie Newsome and Julio Jones as the only former Alabama players to have 1,000 receiving yards in an NFL season.

Cooper became the first Oakland player with 1,000 receiving yards in a season since Randy Moss in 2005. Every other NFL team had had a 1,000-yard receiver since that time.

Cooper entered the game with 62 receptions for 920 yards. After making catches good for 2, 26 and 19 yards - with the latter going for a touchdown - Cooper passed the 1,000-yard milestone with a 41-yard reception in the third quarter of Oakland's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Cooper's 1,000-yard season is the seventh for a former Alabama player. For the first time, the Crimson Tide has two in the same season. Jones reached 1,000 receiving yards for the 2015 season on Nov. 8.

With nine receptions for 118 yards on Sunday in the Atlanta Falcons' 23-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Jones has 1,544 receiving yards this season. Jones had 1,198 receiving yards in 2012 and 1,593 receiving yards in 2014.

Newsome had 1,002 receiving yards in 1981 and 1,001 receiving yards in 1984 for the Cleveland Browns, and Hutson had 1,211 receiving yards in 11 games in 1942 for the Green Bay Packers.
