Free downtown Houston event lets you check out scuba diving

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- If you've ever wanted to check out scuba diving, the Houston Downtown Aquarium delivers a great option this weekend.

The "Be a Diver" pool is set up for Saturday and Saturday. The 15,000 gallon contraption gives people the chance to interact with local certified diving instructors and test out the water.

Eyewitness News' Steve Campion caught up with the crew this morning. They said they're ready to introduce the public to the growing sport and show them what it's like to be underwater.
