Celebrities are constantly in the public eye. So, it’s only fitting that they are always on the up and up with all that hinders the effects of aging.

They Fight Aging Hair With Extensions
Celebrities aren’t ones to be photographed with thin hair or hair that’s experiencing signs of aging. That’s why so many of them wear extensions, be it clip-ins or bonded ones. “Extensions are often used by celebrities because they aid in adding texture, length, thickness and shine,” says stylist and extension specialist at New York’s Warren Tricomi Salon, Jasmine Anna Galazka, who prefers using tape-in extensions because they are fast and easy to put in. If you opt to go with extensions, it’s important to do a color match to get a seamless look. “This way, you won’t look like you have anything clipped in underneath,” adds Galazka.

They Protect Their Skin With Sunscreen
Sunscreen is the key to flawless-looking skin—no wrinkles, no brown spots, no rough texture. A-listers know the benefits of wearing sunscreen day in and day out, which is why they slather it on every morning, no matter where they may be. “I always say, “If you don’t need a flashlight to see outside, you need sunscreen. UV rays are present every day, year round,” says New York dermatologist Doris Day, MD. “Over 90 percent of wrinkles, along with skin discoloration and blotchy skin, comes from chronic exposure to UV radiation.”

They Exfoliate Regularly
Facials and celebrities go hand in hand. And, one of the most important parts of a facial is the exfoliation step, which removes dead, dull skin to reveal the healthy, glowing skin that’s underneath. “Exfoliation has been practiced since ancient times and is one of the most important ways to keep your skin healthy and youthful,” says Dr. Day. “While you don’t need to exfoliate daily, it is important to do it either at home with a glycolic or salicylic acid exfoliator or a brush or scrub, or at your doctor’s office with a laser peel.”

They Moisturize
Simply put, skin that’s properly hydrated just looks better all around. It’s plumper and softer, and lines and wrinkles seem to blend away. Celebrities load up on skin-appropriate moisturizers of all types throughout the year. “When your skin is properly hydrated, it’s more vibrant and resilient and looks less wrinkled,” says Dr. Day.
