Director Peyton Reed has now confirmed that the composer from the first Ant-Man will be returning to work on the sequel. Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release next summer, and as Marvel gears up to start filming, fans are awaiting some big news. Reed has already posted cryptically to Instagram this month, and with confirmation from Marvel that filming is set to start in Atlanta in a couple of weeks, plenty of new information about the film should start rolling out any day now.

Casting news has already started to appear, including the confirmation that Hannah John-Kamen will be joining the cast in a "major role," and T.I. will be returning. He's far from the only cast member who is back for round two, of course. The director, Reed, and the major stars of the original are all back for the sequel, and now Reed has confirmed that someone else is also back on board.

After tweeting his mysterious Instagram post about the film, Reed was inundated with questions from fans, including one who asked about the possible return of Ant-Man composer Christophe Beck. Reed was only happy to answer on Twitter, and to confirm that Beck will indeed be back for the sequel, responding with a straightforward answer.

Oh yes!— Peyton Reed (@MrPeytonReed) June 24, 2017

In addition to composing the score for Ant-Man, Beck is known for his work on Frozen, The Hangover, and Edge of Tomorrow. He has also worked on a few superhero films in the past, including Elektra and a single song for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. He also previously worked with Joss Whedon, who directed The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron for the MCU.

Beck's return is great news for fans of the original Ant-Man, as he promises to bring the same kind of talent and composition to the sequel. It seems that with the exception of new characters, almost all of the original creative team is back for round two, which should mean that the sequel lives up to the original - and may even surpass it in terms of success. However, this isn't too much of a surprise, either. After Beck replaced the original choice for the film (Steven Price), there have been no signs that the composer wouldn't be returning for Ant-Man and the Wasp, especially given that Reed is back in the director's chair. Still, it is nice to get some confirmation, to see Reed interacting with fans online, and to know that the original team is back together again for another great superhero movie.
