GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Kayla Treanor's list of accolades continues to grow. She was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete of the Year on Monday, June 20. In addition, Treanor was one of a league-best seven members of the Orange to earn a spot on the ACC All-Academic Team.
 
Graduate student Allie Murray, seniors Kelly Cross, Halle Majorana, Mallory Vehar and Caroline Webster and sophomore Riley Donahue joined Treanor on the league All-Academic Team. It marks the second consecutive year that Majorana and Vehar have earned the honor.
 
Treanor finished her career as the most decorated player in program history. She was a three-time finalist for the Tewaaraton Award and the Honda Sports Award and earned the ACC Offensive Player of the Year award three straight years. Treanor became the first player in program history and just the fifth Syracuse student-athlete to earn first-team All-America honors all four years of her career. She led the Orange with 90 points this season and set the NCAA Division I single-season record with 217 draw controls. Treanor ranks fourth on the NCAA Division I all-time scoring list with 393 points and her 260 goals are the sixth-highest total in Division I history.
 
Treanor led Syracuse to the national semifinals for the fifth consecutive year in 2016. The Orange ended the season with a 19-6 overall record.
