David Ousted was the runner-up for MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.

Let’s make sure he’s not the runner-up for MLS Save of the Year, too.

The Dane’s brilliant, goalline save on Philadelphia’s Andrew Wenger has reached the MLS Save of the Year Final. The competition started with 32 saves and is now down to just two. Ousted’s opposition is a fingertip save by Portland’s Adam Kwarasey.

Ousted and Kwarasey were the co-clean sheet leaders this season with 13 apiece. It was a banner season for Ousted, who manned a Whitecaps FC net that conceded just 36 goals (tied for the league-best). He was also an MLS All-Star for the first time.

Will he be able to add an MLS Save of the Year crown to his resume?

Voting will run until Wednesday, December 2.
