Afghanistan: National wheelchair basketball team competes in Japan

After months of training, Afghanistan's 12-man wheelchair basketball team flew to Japan for the Asia Oceania championship of the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation. For Afghanistan's first-ever international competition, their expectations were modest, but they more than fulfilled them. Hosts Japan won by 91 points to 12, which meant ICRC-supported Afghanistan had achieved their aim of scoring over 10 points and conceding no more than 100.
