5 Healthy Meals You Can Make For €5

Reckon you can't eat healthy on a budget? Wrong. We've found five yummy and healthy meals, that cost only €5 to make.

Did you know that according to a recent UK survey over half of Britons believe that healthy eating is too expensive? The study by Voucher Cloud revealed that 51% of those surveyed said they ditched their healthy eating plans because healthy food simply cost them too many spends.

STELLAR’s calling BS. In fact, we reckon, with a few clever tweaks to some of our favourite healthy recipes, we can eat right and stick to our budgets.

We looked to our favourite foodie bloggers for inspiration, then used Tesco.ie to price check our recipes, and found five healthy meals you can make for around a fiver. You’re totes welcome.

Created by food blogger The Health Balance, AKA Lisa Murrin, this guilt-free pizza recipe is extremely quick and easy to make. We priced this at €5.74 and it’s not only healthy, it’s delicious too. Much better than ordering from your local takeaway, we reckon.

Quinoa and Veg Bowl

This dish by Rosanna Davison is full of fibre, protein, and healthy fats, which is exactly what you want from a healthy meal. We switched out some of the more expensive ingriedients like Ume Japanese Plum Seasoning and toasted sesame seeds to make this dish for €3.17.

We looked to healthy eating advocates Lucy and Lisa from The Healthy Essence for this nutritious dinner option. Costing only €5.05 to rustle up, this soup is a great source of vitamins and minerals and a perfect choice as we approach the colder months. Comfort food for a fiver? Yes please!
