Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

There are plenty of holiday fun times happening his month, so I wanted to make sure you knew about this insanely cool benefit show our pal Marco Collins helped put together. Behold: Every Little Counts featuring the music of New Order! THIS Thursday, December 3, FM Collective (with Mr. Ken Stringfellow), Fly Moon Royalty, Daniel Blue (of Motopony), Andrew Joslyn & Eric Anderson (of Cataldo), The Fame RiotLazer KittyHarps, and DJ Erik Blood are claiming the stage at Neumos to play the crap out of some songs in tribute to one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME: the glorious New Order.

Seriously, guys. I cannot wait for this show! As if that line-up and tribute band aren’t enough of a draw,  advance tickets are only $12 (!!!) and every bit of that door money is going to MusicCares — a vital charity org that provides emergency financial and medical assistance to people in the music community.

I’ve been spending the last few weeks dreaming about how awesome it’s gonna be seeing all these amazing artists on stage, performing songs by the band that started my love for collecting imported vinyl remixes and hours and hours of dancing … and I just. can’t. even. It’s gonna be SO GOOD! They even named this thing after my very favorite New Order tune, “Every Little Counts”, so obvs. I need to go. You should too! See you there?

Every second counts
When I am with you
Even though you’re stu-pid
I still follow you
The smile upon your face,
It always stays in place
Every second counts when I am with you
