1Bingo Trees
Made with colorful vintage bingo cards, these trees will look great scattered on the mantel or holiday table.
To make: Cut three to five half-tree-shaped pieces from matching bingo cards (with one edge flat and the other jagged). Hot-glue the flat edges to a 3/8-inch dowel, fanning them out to create a 3D tree shape. Finish with a bingo tile topper using hot-glue. Place dowels in tall wooden spools for easy display.
2Baseball Mason Jar
For the baseball lover in your life, set out a Mason jar decorated to look like a baseball, with a bat tag, filled with sweet popcorn. They can snack all season long.
To make: Paint the outside of a Mason jar with flat white craft paint. Once dry use a fine grit sandpaper to gently scuff up the paint. Use a fine-tipped paint brush and red craft paint to paint on the stiches of the baseball. Use brown spray paint to paint the metal lid and band of the jar; allow to dry completely. Cut a baseball bat from a piece of brown craft paper and use markers to add details, such as wood grain. Punch a tiny hole in one end of the bat and attach to the jar with a piece of baker’s twine. Fill jar with Cracker Jack and attach lid.
3Doily Display
With their snowflake-like appearance, this ladies’ luncheon staple lends wintry whimsy to a wall.
To make: Use double-sided tape to attach paper doilies in a triangular shape, then group smaller ones to create the square trunk.

4Terra-Cotta Tannenbaum
Stacked in descending size and wrapped with felt garland, weathered flowerpots make for a pretty garden-themed decoration on a porch or in a potting shed.
5Yarn Ball Ornaments
The ideal gift or decor for the knitter in your life!
To make: Wrap yarn around a clear plastic Christmas ornament, holding the beginning of the yarn in place with a dab of hot glue, until the ornament is completely covered. Thread bamboo cocktail picks through the yarn to mimic knitting needles. Hang as desired.
6Prize “Pine”
Green horse show ribbons (usually awarded for sixth place) arranged in the shape of a tree add country charm to a cabin or cottage.

7Blanket Statement
For a striking display make an oversized quilt tree.
To make: Start with a green quilt (we scored ours at Folklore Fiber Studio). Cut a 1/2-inch-thick piece of foam core to the desired triangle size.Wrap your quilt tightly around the foam core and secure in place with straight pins (no cutting needed!). Set on a picnic basket “tree trunk.”
8Fabric Peppermints
Scatter a few of these faux peppermints around the holiday table or make a bunch and set them in a bowl on the buffet. Let's just hope no one things they are actually a sweet treat!
To make: Cut a piece of red and white ticking striped fabric into a 6.5-inch by 4-inch rectangle. Use pinking shears to cut a decorative edge on the short ends. Glue two 2.2-inch wood craft rings together with hot glue (you can cut pieces of cardboard into rounds and glue them together). Wrap fabric around rings and tie ends tight with red rickrack.
9Yarn Star Ornaments
Enlist the kids to help make these star ornaments (be sure to help them with the cutting and gluing). A load of them on the tree will add lots of color and texture.
To make: Cut a star shape from a piece of cardboard using an X-acto knife. Wrap the star in yarn, using dabs of hot glue to help hold the yarn in place near the points of the star, until fully covered. Glue the ends of a length of yarn to the back on one point to create a loop for hanging.

10Advent Paper Bags
A group, 24 to be exact, lined up on the mantel with certainly add a whimsical touch to your holiday decor this year.
To make: Draw windows, a door, and a roof on 24 small paper bags using a white paint pen. Write the numbers, one through 24, on the bags with a red pen. Use a small hole punch to punch two holes through the bags. Fill bags with treats then tie closed with red and white baker’s twine, adding a holly leaf, if desired.
11Cocoa Mason Jars
Set out a mini mug of cocoa (just add warm milk) at each place setting on the holiday table to add warm and delicious treat to the holiday decor.
To make: Place hot cocoa mix in the bottom of small mug Mason jars. Top with mini marshmallow, chocolate chips, and crushed starlight mints. Attach lid. Attach a tag with red baker’s twine.
12Craft Bead Snowmen
Deck the halls with these super easy DIY snowman ornaments. Hang on the tree or make several and pass them out as gift!
To make: Draw snowmen faces on wooden craft beads with markers. Thread a length of baker’s twine through a brown button. Thread both ends of the thread twine through two plain buttons then through the button with the face. Thread twine through 5 to 6 black button to creating a hat. Tie twine close to the top button to hold everything together, then tie again about 2-inches up to create a loop for hanging. Cut a thin piece of red felt and tie between the top to buttons for a scarf.

14Santa Mason Jar
Fill this cutie decorated Mason jar with snowflake cookies or you favorite snowy-like treat.
To make: Paint the inside of a Mason jar with white craft paint. Use spray paint to paint the metal lid and ring black. Attach black button eyes and an orange button nose to the jar with hot glue to create at snowman face. Screw on lid.

16Felt Wreath
Brian Woodcock Simply tie strips of green felt around a wreath form to create this fluffy and fun holiday decor.
To make: Cut strips of two different shades of green felt. Tie strips around a wreath form. Attach small red ornaments throughout the wreath with hot glue. Loop a length of wide ribbon around the wreath to hang.

17Bundt Pan Wreath
Becky Stayner For a colorful kitchen display, line a Bundt pan with Styrofoam, cutting to fit and attaching with hot-glue. Secure ornaments to the Styrofoam using hot-glue. Finish with a large bow.

18Homespun Ornament
Brian Woodcock This special ornament, featuring a photo of your home, will make a heirloom for years to come.
To make: Mod Podge a photograph of your house to an oval wood crafting blank. Once dry, attach a length of felt or twine to the edge with hot glue. Use an awl or small drill bit to create a hole in the top; thread a ribbon through the hole to hang.

19DIY Door Bells
Becky Stayner Hang these "bells," made from mini Bundt pans and molds on the front door or over the mantel.
To make: Stack mini molds and Bundt pans to form bell shapes; affix together using epoxy. Hot-glue small ornaments to the bottom to create the clappers. Glue ribbon loops and a bow to the top for hanging. Add a swag of greenery, if desired.

To make: Cover Styrofoam cones (we used 12- and 15-inch cones) with ornaments, attaching them with hot-glue. Start with larger ornaments at the bottom, transitioning to smaller ones as you work your way up. Fill in any gaps with mini ornament balls. If desired, wrap the finished trees with vintage tinsel and beaded garland.
