Description

The NPA Annual Conference 2017 will address Blue Growth as its main theme. The programme not only focuses on the Arctic, but also aims to contribute to the Atlantic Strategy. The conference will address such topics as entrepreneurship and innovation related to fisheries and aquaculture, environmental protection and maritime and coastal tourism.

Galway located on the Atlantic coast is a fitting location. The venue is the Marine Institute, which plays a national coordinating role in the Atlantic Strategy. In addition, the city has been selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2020.

The conference will be held back-to-back with the Lead Partner seminar for NPA projects on 20th September at the same venue.

Hotel Information

You will stay in The Connacht Hotel, which is located on the main Dublin road as you enter Galway city center. It is only 4 km from Galway City, and 15 km from Marine Institute. We will organise shuttle buses between the hotel and conference and dinner venues.
