Singapore-based channels group Rewind Networks will launch its HITS channel in Hong Kong and Macau on the fast expanding LeTV digital platform.

The channel, which specialises in reruns of old series, will be carried on HD and subtitled in traditional Chinese characters.

“LeTV goal is to be the largest and most influential entertainment platform in Asia.  HITS’ programming is a natural fit in our growing stable of channels,” said Tin Mok, CEO for APAC at LeTV, in a statement. “Fans of series such as ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation,’ ‘Seinfeld,’ ‘The X-Files,’ ‘Three’s Company’ and ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ are sure to rejoice!”

HITS is Rewind Networks’ first venture and was launched as a linear pan-regional pay-TV channel that debuted in Singapore on StarHub at the end of 2013. It was later picked up in the Philippines (by SKYcable), Indonesia (by Indovision) and Malaysia (by Astro). Further expansions in 2015 included Singtel in Singapore, now TV in Hong Kong, CTH in Thailand, CNS and dmg in Taiwan.

It has multi-year content licensing deals with studios including Disney Media Distribution, CBS Studios International, NBC Universal Television, Sony Pictures Television, 20th Century Fox Television Distribution and Carsey-Werner.
