Comic and author Julian Clary, actor Nigel Havers and comedy ventriloquist Paul Zerdin will appear in the London Palladium's Christmas pantomime this year.

The prestigious central London venue will host a new production of Dick Whittington from December into January 2018, promising an all-star cast. Tickets are now available.

Christmas 2016 saw Cinderella become the venue's first pantomime after 29 years, where it had previously been a mainstay of the annual theatrical calendar. Clary, Havers and Zerdin all appeared in the critically acclaimed production, alongside the likes of Paul O'Grady, Amanda Holden and Count Arthur Strong.

Dick Whittington At The London Palladium will see Julian Clary play Spirit of the Bells; Zerdin as Idle Jack; and Nigel Havers as Captain Nigel, from Saturday 9th December 2017 until Sunday 14th January 2018.

The show is being produced by Qdos Entertainment, who were also responsible for 2016's Cinderella. The world's largest producer of pantomimes, they are responsible for productions at the largest regional venues across the UK each year, with the Palladium just one of 35 pantos the company will stage in 2017 - 18.

Other venues at which the company stages its pantomimes include the Belfast Grand Opera House, Glasgow's Kings Theatre, London's Richmond and Wimbledon theatres, the Manchester Opera House, at Plymouth Theatre Royal.

Details of the rest of the cast for Dick Whittington At The London Palladium will be published later in the year.
