Black Friday is upon us and many retailers have already unveiled pre-Christmas online and in-store discount offers. Here is a roundup of the best deals (some are available for a limited time only), with retailers listed alphabetically – we will update the list as more deals are announced:

Amazon

What’s happening: Black Friday Deals Week started on Monday and runs until 11.59pm on Sunday 29 November.

Best deals: Shoppers are offered Lightning Deals that run for a short period of time as well as Deals of the Day – promotions for one day. Deals of the Day include 72% off a Philips S5320/06 Series 5000 electric shaver at £47.49; 30% off The Walking Dead season 1-5 box set at £34.99 and 26% off a Lenovo 21.5in desktop PC at £259.99; Pure Evoke D4 digital radio with Bluetooth reduced to £85 from £150.

AO.com

What’s happening: The online retailer launches thousands of deals on Black Friday.

Best deals: Offers include up to £100 off washing machines, more than 25% off American fridge freezers and up to 70% off vacuum cleaners and small appliances. Up to £500 off 4K TVs and an average £150 saving across all TVs and sound.

Argos

What’s happening: Argos has been running Red, White and Blue Fridays leading up to Black Friday as part of its Christmas campaign.

Best deals: The LG 4K Ultra HD Freeview TV has been reduced by £300 to £399; Beats Solo 2 on-ear headphones down £70 to £99.99 and the Canon SX410 20MP Camera is reduced to £99.99.

Asda

What’s happening: Asda has drastically scaled back on Black Friday discounts after chaotic scenes at some outlets last year, but is still doing offers in store and online spread over several weeks into the new year on toys and gifts, Christmas food and drink, and household basics.

Best deals: Deals include half-price toy sales and deals on skincare, fragrance and gifting with Asda’s three for £10 offer. There are also offers on beef, salmon, wine, spirits and champagne, as well as consoles and televisions, and gift ideas such as the Oral B 2500 electric toothbrush, down to £29.97 from £75.00.

Asos

What’s happening: The online fashion retailer has kicked off its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale early.

Best deals: Up to 70% off men’s and women’s fashion at Asos Outlet in the run-up to Black Friday.

Boots

What’s happening: Boots has started its Black Friday promotion early.

Best deals: Half price on some Elizabeth Arden lipsticks; Mark Hill hairdryer reduced to £29.99 from £59.99; Oral-B Pro 3000 electric toothbrush down to £33.99 from £89.99; Remington MB4045 beard trimmer for £29.99, down from £49.99.

British Airways

What’s happening: BA’s sale has gone live on Thursday and lasts until midnight on Monday, with hundreds of deals on flights and holidays, such as up to 25% off flights to New York, Las Vegas, Rome and San Jose in costa Rica.

Best deals: Flights in World Traveller and Euro Traveller include San Jose, Las Vegas, Dallas and San Francisco from £499 return; Rio de Janeiro from £557 return; New York and Boston from £399 return; Rome, Venice and Salzburg from £30 one-way. Deals in Club World include New York from £1,399 return; Washington and Boston from £1,390 return; Phoenix and Austin from £1,890 return. BA is also offering up to £100 off every holiday booked during the Black Friday sale.

Carphone Warehouse

What’s happening: Carphone Warehouse launched its 10-day Black Tag promotion on Monday. It runs until 2 December and includes savings on Samsung and HTC phones on selected contracts, as well as pay-as-you-go and sim-free offers.

Best deals: Samsung Galaxy S6 available free at £22 a month (a £200 saving on the upfront cost of the handset); HTC A9 available free at £23.50 a month (a £200 saving on the handset); Huawei P8 Lite available free at £9.50 a month (a £200 saving over the life of the contract); Samsung Galaxy Edge available for £50 at £32.49 per month (a £100 saving on the handset). Its midweek Spike Deal offers a £200 saving on the Sony Z5 Compact along with a free pair of headphones worth £99.

Currys PC World

What’s happening: Currys PC World has increased stock by more than 40% compared to last year. The 10-day sale kicked off on Monday with more than 3,000 deals. On Black Friday, the sale starts online at 6am and the larger stores will open at that time, while smaller shops open at 8am.

Best deals: Promotions across brands including Nespresso, Dyson, HP, Bosch, Samsung, Sony, Beats and LG. The Samsung 60JU6000 60in 4K TV is on offer at £899, a saving of £600, while the Samsung 58J5200 58in Smart TV is £549, a saving of £150.

Debenhams

What’s happening: This week, Debenhams is running one of its Christmas promotional events in store and there will be extra deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On Friday, a number of stores will open their doors at 8am and close at 10pm.

Best deals: Up to 30% off every department. Half-price women’s shoes, handbags, hats, gloves and scarves.

Dyson

What’s happening: Black Friday is Dyson’s biggest sale yet and customers can save up to £350 on some of the latest technology.

Best deals: The DC41 Multi-floor has been reduced by £120 to £199.99. There are also a couple of Black Friday bundles, for example the Dyson AM09 Hot + Cool and V6 Cordless for £449.99, a saving of £250.

EE

All Black Friday weekend deals from EE will start at 00.01 on Friday and finish at 11.59pm on Monday. Offers include up to 50% off pay as you go smartphones from Sony and LG and pay monthly offers on iPhone 5s and Samsung Galaxy S6.

What’s happening: The pet retailer will be offering more than 75 Black Friday deals including half-price treats, cut-price toys and discounted leads. Online deals are already available. For every Pets at Home VIP club member who makes a purchase in-store or online on Friday, the firm will double the amount of points received – called “VIP Lifelines ” – which will be turned into donations to local and national animal charities.

What’s happening: Black Friday offers will kick off at 5am on 27 November at Tesco’s 250 Extra stores. Stores will close at midnight. There will be additional security guards, barriers and queuing systems to try to prevent a repeat of last year’s chaotic scenes, when police were called to more than a dozen stores.
