Arrest made in Franklin Township home invasion

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP - A 24-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested Tuesday and charged in connection with a violent home invasion in the Malaga section.

Jeremy Barcliff  was arrested by Philadelphia Police and charged with first degree robbery and numerous related offenses stemming from the Nov. 8 attack at an Old Dutch Mill Road residence.

Jeremy Barcliff, 24, of Philadelphia, was arrested in connection with a Nov. 8 Franklin Township home invasion.

An arrest warrant was issued for a second suspect, who Franklin Township Police identified as William Walls, 29, of Clayton. Police are requesting the public's assistance to locate him.

Franklin Township Police have issued an arrest warrant for  William Walls, 29, of Clayton.

"Walls is considered dangerous and residents are asked to not approach him if they see him," Franklin Township Police said.

Anyone with information about Walls whereabouts is asked to contact Franklin Township Police at (856) 694-1414.

Barcliff is being held on $400,000 cash bail.

On Nov. 8 police entered one of the units of an Old Dutch Mill Road residence after hearing cries coming from inside. They found a 42-year-old man seriously injured with his hands and feet bound with camouflage duct tape.

The resident was able to tell police the suspects were running out the back door. Police spotted one suspect and ran after him. During the chase, the suspect dropped a baseball cap as well as duct tape that matched what was used to restrain the victim, police said

According to their investigation, police said two men grabbed the resident while he was outside and shoved him into his home. They beat him with a Ruger handgun officers said they recovered at the scene. The man was hospitalized and required hand surgery due to a beating-related injury.
