Description

First Capital. First Congress. First President. It all happened at the site of Federal Hall.

Located on Wall Street in the heart of New York City's Financial District, Federal Hall National Memorial is a symbol of the successful establishment of democracy and capitalism in America. An icon of Lower Manhattan, the structure that adorns the site today is a Greek Revival masterpiece conceived by Ithiel Town and A.J. Davis that was completed in 1842.
