The cylindrical cyclone of the Porsche Design Tower has put a cap on its 60th story. Dezer Development and general contractor, Coastal Construction Group, celebrated the affair with the customary appreciative luncheon for over 600 construction workers, engineers and contractors involved in the project. That team definitely deserves an award in building some of the standout features--particularly the glass car elevators that transport drivers from the road below to the their front door above.

Let's focus on those vertically traveling boxes for a minute. These elevators use a patented, first-of-its-kind auto system called the Dezervator, named after developer Gil Dezer.

In case you've missed it, this video shows the Dezervator in action, made all the more complete with dramatic James Bond / spy thriller music:

What pleasure could car aficionados get if they could see their work of art on wheels parked in a glass garage, gleamingly visible from within their homes? And to further pamper their vehicles, an in-house mechanic shop is there to fix what ails these motor-driven machines. On the other hand, what would the experience be like riding all the way to the top? Would the ride ever feel begin to feel monotonous? We'll have to see. Good problems to have, I suppose.
