Graves Motorsports Introduces Limited-Edition, Race-Prepped Yamaha YZF-R3 For Track Day Customers And Club Racers

Van Nuys, CA – Graves Motorsports has announced that it has developed a specially prepared, close-course-competition Yamaha YZF-R3 racebike, which it is offering in limited numbers to customers interested in participating in track days and club racing events. The announcement was made by Chuck Graves, owner of Graves Motorsports.

Each Graves/Yamaha R3–limited to a production run of 12 units–will be outfitted with a whole host of Graves Motorsports components, including a Graves stainless steel/carbon fiber exhaust system; a Graves chassis and controls protection kit, Graves-spec racing brake lines and racing front brake pads, as well as racing bodywork, a Zero Gravity windscreen, an Ohlins rear shock and Andreani front fork kit, an Ohlins steering damper and Graves mounting kit, an OEM ECU that’s been remapped by FT ECU Inc. specifically to match the Graves exhaust, and the crankcase is filled with Yamalube 15W-30 Full-Synthetic Racing Oil.

“When the Yamaha R3 was first introduced, we immediately saw the potential that the bike had as a track day and club-racing machine,” commented Chuck. “It’s already a fantastic motorcycle in stock form, and it’s a great foundation on which to showcase our Graves Motorsports components. Every Graves Motorsports and aftermarket component that we add to the bike is done specifically to extract the ultimate level of performance and fun from the R3. The Graves/Yamaha R3 is a turnkey package. Each bike comes ready to race on the track or ride at track days.”

Performance of the Graves/Yamaha R3 was increased by 15% over the stock R3, and the bikes are also 12% lighter in weight than stock.

The 12 limited-edition Graves/Yamaha R3 machines will be offered through Graves Racing Services, a special division of Graves Motorsports, and orders are being taken now. Customers who place their orders by November 16 will take delivery of their Graves/Yamaha R3s by December 18.
