HTC One A9 gains s-off and root access

That certainly didn’t take long. Just a few short days after the retail launch of the HTC One A9, jcase from XDA-Developers has posted details on how to gain s-off and root access for HTC’s latest phone. Since the phone is brand new, s-off doesn’t really allow you to do much with the phone, but root access always comes in handy.

If you decide to follow jcase’s lead and root your HTC One A9, keep in mind that you will be voiding your warranty. Personally, I’d wait a few weeks to see what the development community for the HTC One A9 can cook up before jumping in with both feet. That being said, it’s always fun to be among the first to try something with a new phone.

Be sure to leave us a comment below and let us know how things go if you do decide to root your HTC One A9.
