Continuing McDonald's' current trend of offering all sorts of lovely freebies and deals to those out seeking a fast food fix, if you pass by one of the chain's restaurant on Tuesday this week you can grab yourself a free bacon roll.
Not bad, eh?
Yes, this Tuesday (14 January) you can get a free bacon roll simply by ordering a hot drink on the McDonald's app on your phone. That means that you can get a cappuccino and a bacon sarnie from as little as 79p.
On any other usual day, a bacon roll will set you back around £2.99, so you're saving £2.20 right there, and you'll get a decent brew out of it as well. Can't say fairer than that.
Obviously, prices vary slightly from place to place, but the likelihood is that you'll be saving at least that amount. Well, that also depends on how expansive your taste in hot drinks is.
If you want to take advantage of this generous one-day-only offer, you just need to show up at a McDonald's restaurant with your phone and download the McDonald's app.
Once you've downloaded that app via Google Play or the App Store for iPhone users, you simply scroll down to the section called 'deals' - would you believe - and select the option for the free bacon butty.
After you've clicked through on that, you just follow the normal process when selecting your drink and checking out, and when you collect your drink they'll sort you out with a breakfast snack as well.
It's available to both existing and new customers, but you can only redeem it for one person at a time. The deal is also not available to those wishing to order delivery, so you'll have to actually go to a McDonald's restaurant.
Luckily, there are 1,200 McDonald's restaurants participating in the offer, so you'll be very unlucky indeed if you end up walking into one of the 28 stores that are excluded from the offer because they're not on the app.
Oh, and of course the deal is only going to be available during the hours that the breakfast menu is available. For most places that is between the hours of 00.01am and 11am.
Again, those can vary slightly, but not too greatly.
As mentioned before, Maccies is actually offering stuff like this every day this month as part of its 'Appy Days' promotion.
Tomorrow, for example, you can get a Vegetable Deluxe or some Veggie Dippers for 99p. Just use the app.
