My work combines elements of landscape and geometry, and I wanted to bring that into the mural in a way that relates to the space of Marc Forgione. I was struck by the way that small lights stand out in the dark, inviting interior of the restaurant, and began with the idea of something light emerging from a darker background. The colors I used reflect the concept of trees in the moonlight, and the rhythmic structure creates an optical experience that draws the viewer in for a closer look.
