Where to Eat at Changi Airport Singapore (SIN)

Hawker stalls, kaya toast and much, much more.

Changi Airport Group

It's a rare airport that inspires love. Changi (SIN), however, has serious fans. It has tens of thousands of followers on Instagram, has been voted best airport in the world a number of times and is currently home to a lifesize Star Wars X-Wing fighter. But what about the food? The three terminals are filled with dozens of options, from Singaporean classics to quick eats from around the globe.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while dining in Changi:

The hawkers have arrived. Changi contains three separate food courts, each lined with different vendors, many of which are outposts of popular Singaporean spots or nod to the old-school predecessors on the streets. The newest, Singapore Food Street, is home to some of the city-state's most popular hawkers, including spots to find Hainanese chicken rice and roasted duck. (T3, 24 hours)

There's a rooftop bar. Traveller's Cactus Pub is an outdoor bar that overlooks a cactus garden. That means you can get fresh air, drink beer and watch the planes overhead, all after you've cleared security. (T1)

In one place, durian reigns. At Durian Mpire, you can't buy the real thing, but they do sell all kinds of derivatives, including candies, mooncakes and chocolate. The chain evolved out of 717 Trading, a stall in a Punggol market, which sells the fruit alongside their baked goods.

Speaking of drinking... While there are many places to get coffee or toast here, bars are slightly less common. If you need a quick guide here's the rundown of where you can get a drink: local beer spot Harry's Bar (T1, T3), cocktail lounge Hari's Pub (T2, 24 hours), Carlsberg Sports Bar (T3), and O'Leary's Sports Bar and Grill (T1, T2). New-ish to the scene is a version of Raffles Long Bar (T3), which is known for their Singapore Slings, and is located in one of the airport's liquor stores.
