Friday, 5 April and Saturday, 6 April from 8:30–4:30 PM EDT (GMT-4).

The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Join the Philadelphia Metro Chapter of STC for education and networking at CONDUIT, our annual two day conference for technical communication professionals. Each day features sessions chosen to sharpen your technical skills, stay current with new technology and its impact on our field, and enhance your career with a variety of professional development topics. Throughout the event, network with other tech comm professionals to build your personal network and share ideas.

Our keynote speaker, Neil Perlin, is an internationally known speaker and a veteran technical communicator well-known throughout the STC. Among his accomplishments, he’s founded the first hypertext authoring system in 1987 and used it to build the world’s second and third commercial hypertext products – online guides to MS-DOS 2.1 and Lotus 1-2-3; transitioned to HTML-based and browser-based help in 1997; learned DITA in 2003; served on an OASIS board and represented the STC to the W3C for four years in the 2000s; and became an app developer in 2011.  Always a forward looking person, he’ll be talking about what he sees as the next steps to prepare for what’s next in technical communication.

Come to the STC-PMC CONDUIT conference to hear the latest in technical documentation techniques and share ideas with other documentation professionals. The conference is a great place to network and gain extra insight into current trends of technical communications. It may even result in job leads!  We’re also in a new location in the heart of Philadelphia–the Franklin Institute, which is easily accessible by public transportation or driving.

Friday, 5 April, is our Workshop Day, and Saturday, 6 April, is our main Conference Day.  Registration includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, raffle opportunities, and free WiFi. Discounted parking is available.
