The Hometown Hoax

Enjoyed this fast paced, sweet, sexy, entertaining, and well written romance, that captured my attention from the beginning until the end. I enjoyed the fun witty banter and the sexy, chemistry between Logan and Tessa. Also enjoyed the entertaining ways the secondary characters manipulate and plot behind their backs hoping to push these two together.

Tessa Cutter is not looking forward to returning home for a camping vacation with her family. She is not looking forward to her family trying to manipulate her in to returning home to the small town life where everyone knows everything about you two seconds after it happens. That was the reason she left it all behind. She had longed for the adventure and anonymity of New York City. So in a attempt to keep her family at arms length she fabricated a great life and a rich boyfriend who is to busy working to return with her.

Logan Ridley has known Travis, Tessa's brother in law since college. He has just moved to town after losing his family and his business in New York City. He is tired of the busy city life. He is going to be filling in as the new physical education teacher for the school while the teacher is out on maternity leave and then he hopes to open up a small gym where there is not any competition. He has also been invited to go camping with the Cutters'.

Logan and Tessa start off on the wrong footing with a minor run in on their way to the camping site. But with the help of her family they soon can't seem to stay away from one another. It is great to watch these opposites start to attract each other. And when Tessa slips up and Logan finds out the truth about her fake boyfriend all bets are off. The stolen glances and touches that lead to more. And there is something so sexy about his confident ability to take charge as well as challenge Tessa.

" Somehow in an odd twist of fate she hadn't seen coming, she no longer had a fake boyfriend but instead now had a very real crush on the sexy man lying a few feet away. A man who recently moved to the town she couldn't wait to leave. This couldn't be good. But that kiss had been anything but bad. "

What is Tessa going to do? Will Logan give up his dream for Tessa? You will have to read to find out. Great ending. Highly recommended!

This is book #3, in The Hoax Series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading in order.

Logan met Tessa when he gave her a ride into town after an accident. Later, they find out there is a familial connection. He is friends with her brother. What he does not understand, is how he is so attracted to her even after she has rejected him repeatedly.

Tessa is not wanting to move home. She does not want anything to stop her from meeting her goals. Her family is relentless. Logan makes her feel things she has not felt for a while. Is it worth taking this chance?

This was a bit of a slow burn. It starts off with a bang, but kind of mellows out, and gets running again. The characters are both strong, but their chemistry burns high. I was kind of waiting for a burn out. Luckily for me, this is an author who never disappoints.
