West Easton woman forced to forfeit casino jackpot, report says

A West Easton woman can't keep more than $3,000 she won at the Mount Airy Casino because she was on the five-year self-exclusion list, according to a published report.

Danielle Michelle Hoagland, 34, of the 200 block of Sixth Street, won the $3,041 jackpot about 2 a.m. Monday, the Pocono Record reported, but the casino subsequently discovered she was on the list.

The newspaper didn't say what game Hoagland was playing when she won the money.

Hoagland was charged with criminal trespass and released, Pennsylvania State Police at the casino said. A corporal and a trooper declined to confirm Hoagland was on the the self-exclusion list, saying police initially erred in releasing that information.

Paperwork on the charge had yet to be filed with District Judge Phillip Riley's court in Paradise Township, Monroe County, a clerk there said. Such charges aren't delivered every day to the court, she said.

Hoagland did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.
