With artists releasing songs at a fast and furious pace it’s difficult for the average hip-hop head to keep track of it all—no matter how tapped in they are. That’s why we created The Ones, a daily roundup of the best new rap tracks you need to hear curated by the Levels team. We sort through all the new songs—across all the platforms and subgenres—so you don’t have to. Thank us later.

GlokkNine - “Front Door”

Some rappers flex about how much money they have, how well they rap, or how many phone numbers they picked up at the club, but GlokkNine wants everyone to know his area of expertise is robberies. On “Front Door,” the Orlando star is so damn good at pulling off the heist he’ll storm into your house, dance for the home cameras, and still get away with the scheme: “I’m comin’ through the front door, so no need to lock the back.” And he says it all while rapping in his mush-mouthed flow on a beat that sounds like it was made in the midst of an era when Trick Daddy and Trina still dominated the South Florida scene.

Lil Dude and Goonew - “Drill Time”

Lil Dude and Goonew haven’t lifted their feet off the gas since beginning 2018 with their Homicide Boyz mixtape. The hip-hop world in return has taken their light and whispery flows and created dozens of their own iterations, but nobody does it like the Maryland duo. On “Drill Time” Lil Dude and Goonew keep their hot streak alive with another hard hitter loaded with puns: “Marvin Gaye with the stick/Let’s get it on.” Where the duo really separates themselves is a homegrown chemistry that allows them to trade bars and finish each other’s lines effortlessly.

MIKE - “October Baby”

MIKE celebrates another year of life with “October Baby.” But it doesn’t feel like the usual celebration, the mood is downbeat, drenched with fear and paranoia, sprinkled with bits of hope. The beat is majestic: a soothing melody, thudding drum kicks, and about halfway through a chilling vocal sample kicks in. In just two minutes MIKE can accomplish so much.

Coi Leray - “Huddy”

Coi Leray has taken her bright and bubbly personality and used it to become the latest viral star. On “Huddy,” the Jersey rapper floats over a bouncy beat and introduces hip-hop to her high-energy raps. It’s only the start for an artist finding a lane for herself and not using the fact that she is Benzino’s daughter (yes, that Benzino) as her claim to fame.

Master Kato - “Ride Around”

Master Kato is the unsung member of Shoreline Mafia. “Ride Around” is a showcase for the gravel-voice rapper as he jumps on a breezy beat from prolific West Coast producer Ron-Ron. It makes you realize how deep Shoreline Mafia is when the group has a rapper this capable lingering in the background.
