LETTER: Stay-at-home moms prevent drug addiction

The Daily Journal

It seems like drug addiction, like any other addiction, has become an epidemic disease in our country despite the number of law enforcement officers.

Will staying at home with your child keep them safe?

In my opinion, hiring more personnel, as proposed by the president of the United States, is not the answer. I don’t think that even putting a 1-to-1 ratio of police to the population will resolve the problem until we treat the root cause.

I believe that is not going to happen anytime soon unless mothers start staying home and take care of the children with love, affection and discipline. I think politicians are only playing games to justify their highly paid jobs.

As we know from the past, each era takes it own course and, therefore, there is no need to waste taxpayers' dollars. We should think twice, and deeply, before we jump to any unknown action.
