The initial celebration was on the field and the jubilant home locker room at BBVA Compass Stadium a week ago when the Houston Dynamo defeated the Philadelphia Union, 3-0, to capture a first-ever U.S. Open Cup title.
On Tuesday, it was time for the Dynamo to get their accolades from Houston’s City Hall where Mayor Sylvester Turner as well as members of the Houston City Council helped honor the historic victory by La Naranja, who brought the trophy to Turner at City Hall.
