Overview of Role:
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for our sales consultant position in Vancouver & the surrounding Lower Mainland areas, to call on government & private wine retail and accounts.
Selling experience and product knowledge of wines & spirits is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:
· Professional sales training knowledge
· Professional presentation skills
· Sales targeting and statistical analysis skills
· Strong organization, planning, review and follow-up skills
· WSET training or equivalent wine experience
· Effective record keeping, reporting, professional conduct & ethics are mandatory requirements for this role.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
· Be responsible for the sales and promotion of a portfolio of 40+ brands in British Columbia
· Provide excellent customer service to government and private liquor stores
· Meet and exceed set sales forecast expectations set by the executives
· Set and execute personal sales expectations and performance
· Provide weekly and monthly sales reports
· Bring new ideas on sales techniques, marketing programs and events
· Work with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies at a store level
· Work with suppliers (winery/brewery/distillery principals) when in the BC market
Skills & Knowledge:
· A minimum of 1 years sales experience in the Wine & Spirits industry
· Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills
· A proven record at closing the sale
· An ability to respect tight schedules & manage a schedule around key events
· Able to travel from time to time for business activities and provincial alcohol beverage and wine shows
· A track record of successfully growing a product portfolio and developing relationships
· WSET training or equivalent wine experience
· Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable car.
· Candidates must be in good health & be able to carry 40lbs (a case of wine) as part of this position.
