Auburn did not play this weekend but after the lone bye week of the season,\ the Tigers defense ranks in the bottom 10 among Power 5 teams in multiple defensive statistics.

Through five games Auburn (3-2, 0-2 SEC) is allowing an SEC-worst 209.6 rushing yards per game, which is 107th nationally, as it prepares to play at Kentucky on Thursday night. Only Purdue, Oregon State, North Carolina, Kansas and Texas Tech are worse in the Power 5.

Auburn's rushing stats are even worse when taken only against FBS opponents (221.75 ypg., 105th FBS) and worse yet in three games against Power 5 teams (235 ypg., 101st).

Opponents are converting on 47.1 percent of third downs against Auburn - only Texas, Kansas and Texas Tech are worse among Power 5 teams.

With just 1.4 sacks per game, Auburn ranks 107th nationally with only Arkansas (one sack per game) worse in the SEC. Just eight Power 5 teams are less effective at taking down opposing quarterbacks.

Auburn moved up slightly in the rankings of scoring and total defense after the bye week, but is still near the bottom of the SEC in both categories.

It wasn't all downward trends statistically for Auburn, which is now fourth in the SEC in rushing offense and moved up in multiple special teams categories.

- Peyton Barber is still among just three players with five rushing scores in a game, though all came against non-Power 5 opponents. Only two players have scored four rushing touchdowns against a Power 5 team and both did so against TCU.
