Colin Farrell Answers STELLAR Readers’ Dating Questions

He's been romantically linked with legions of A-list ladies, but it turns out this Hollywood bad boy might be a whole lot sweeter than we thought...

Collin Farrell

Last night we caught up with Colin Farrell at the premiere of his new movie The Lobster; an unconventional love story, in which single people are obliged to find a partner in 45 days or be transformed into beasts and sent off to live in the woods. #harsh

Given the theme of the movie, we wanted to know more about Colin’s love life, so we asked you, the readers, what dating questions you’d like us to put to him.

First up, reader Claire wanted to know what exactly Colin looks for in a gal. Reckon a bangin’ hot bod and Kardashian-style kurves would be top of this illustrious bad boy’s list? Nuh-uh, turns out Colin’s tastes are deeper than you might expect, as he told us a potential new lady friend must have honesty, integrity, and kindness to tick all his boxes. Aww. As for whether he prefers the ladies stateside or back here on home soil, LA-based Colin’s not fussy, telling us “as long as they’re human that’s all that matters.”

Guess we meet the criteria then…

Cheating definitely falls under that category for me.

As for long-term dating, reader Aoife wanted to know about Colin’s biggest relationship bug bears. But it turns out he wouldn’t end things over something trivial. Instead, Colin says deceit and dishonesty are big deal breakers when it comes to love. “Cheating definitely falls under that category for me,” he tells us. We wonder if Colin’s fear of infidelity explains why he’s hasn’t been romantically linked to any Hollywood starlets in nearly four years…

Lastly, reader Sarah asked the question all of us really wanted to know: if we nabbed a date with Colin where would he take us? “I’d take her to see one of my movies,” he jokes, before clarifying that really he’d let the girl choose. “I’d take her wherever it was she wanted to go,” he says. We reckon Colin might be more of a softie than we thought…
