Dear Legacy Families and Staff,
This afternoon, Governor Doug Ducey issued an executive order delaying the start of in-person learning until August 17, 2020, in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our state. The order impacts the opening of all Legacy schools in Arizona.
In light of this announcement, our schools will not physically open until the delay is lifted, or additional guidance has been provided by the Governor's Office. We are working to determine if the state will allow us to begin the school year (via online learning) so that students can continue their learning activities.
We know you have many questions, as do we, and we will address them as soon as we have more information to share. Please note that until further notice, our summer camps will continue as scheduled.
Legacy still plans on offering families the choice and flexibility of in-person and online learning. However, due to this announcement, we are extending the timeline for parents to choose the learning model for their children for the 2020-21 school year. Once we obtain more clarity on his directives we will revise our timelines, FAQs and other important information.
We will be in touch soon.
Sincerely,
Legacy Traditional Schools |
