Over 500 U.S. Athletes are expected to compete at the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Rio, living out their dreams of representing the United States. Boca Raton's Sid Cassidy will become a 3-time Olympic official and is proving that it's not all about the pride of the competitors.

"When you're selected by your country to be at this highest level of officiating, it is an honor," says Cassidy.

And alot of that stems from Cassidy's lifetime love of swimming. The Aquatics Director and Club Coach at St. Andrew's School will be right in the think of things in the Atlantic Ocean at the Olympic Open Swimming events in Rio next month, and feeling as pumped as the participants.

"The thrill is in the participation," says Cassidy, "it's taking part in the Olympic Games."

For a guy who's made swimming his life, there's no Olympic podium required.

"I worked very hard for Open water to get a foothold in," says Cassidy, "and I think that has been recognized. I've just been very, very lucky to continue."
