UPDATE - Talent Board Announces Winners of 2015 North American Candidate Experience Awards

50 Companies Recognized for Demonstrating Excellence in Recruiting Practices

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 2, 2015) - Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the promotion and data benchmark research of a quality candidate experience, today announced the winners of the 2015 North American Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards during the Second Annual Candidate Experience Symposium, held at the Hilton Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas. Overall, 50 winners representing a wide range of industry sectors and sizes were recognized and celebrated for providing their job applicants with a stellar candidate experience.

The CandE Awards is a recognition and benchmarking program designed to raise awareness of the value of a positive candidate experience, by which job candidates are met with a simple, transparent process when applying and interviewing for jobs and kept informed of their status along the way. With nearly 130,000 candidates responding to 200 participating companies, the 2015 winners were the firms that received the highest positive ratings from a representative sample of their candidates who had applied for a position and, for the most part, were not hired. To qualify, each firm had to commit to a statistically significant candidate response, and the proportion of respondents not hired also had to exceed a set standard. No other research effort today meets these strict academic standards.

In addition to recognizing those companies that provide their applicants with a stellar candidate experience, the program also serves to identify and record the proven strategies and technologies that enhance the candidate experience, allowing all participants and the greater community at large to learn what they can do to improve their recruiting practices.

"More companies today recognize that a positive candidate experience is essential to their ability to continually attract the best candidates, build a quality talent pipeline and maintain a positive employer brand," said Elaine Orler, Talent Board co-founder and chairman, and CEO of Talent Function. "While the connection between candidate experience and hiring success is no longer a big secret, less clear, however, is what it takes to deliver on this need for a transparent and engaging recruiting process. The 50 winners of the 2015 North American Candidate Experience Awards certainly understand how to provide a stellar candidate experience, demonstrating the practices that make this goal achievable."

As more companies recognize the value of providing an effective candidate experience, the CandE Awards program has grown considerably since its inception in 2011. In addition to the North American program, the CandE Awards now includes programs in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. To date, the CandE Awards has documented the experiences of 250,000 job seekers, providing the most comprehensive data into candidate experience and enabling Talent Board to aggregate this insight and educate the market on candidate experience best practices.

Talent Board will publish the annual aggregate North American CandE data results and report in early 2016, representing the 2015 "Benchmark" for Candidate Experience. The full report will be available on a complimentary basis to all interested employers and organizations. In addition, each of this year's 200 participating companies will receive access to their own data in order to study it along with the benchmark report in more detail.
