Global BC’s 3rd annual Thanks for Giving drive

This Thursday, Oct. 8, will be Global BC’s third-annual Thanks For Giving drive.

Last year, B.C. helped us raise $41,150 and thousands of pounds of food for food banks across B.C. All donations benefit Foodbanks BC.

This year we want to beat those totals!

Where and When

From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

At Global BC in Burnaby – 7850 Enterprise St. Anyone who comes by with a donation will receive a Triple O breakfast, lunch or dinner, courtesy of White Spot.

At the Robson Square Skating Rink – 800 Robson St. Anyone who comes by with a donation will receive breakfast, lunch or dinner, courtesy of Nature’s Path.

At Global Okanagan – 342 Leon Avenue in Kelowna.

At Penticton Lake Resort – 21 Lakeshore Dr W.

How to Donate

Online at foodbanksbc.com/global

Text FOOD to 41010 to donate $5, $10, $20 or $25 (you specify the amount and it will be added to your phone bill).

Come by our locations and drop off food or money.

Come Down and Meet Us!

Aside from having numerous guests at both our locations come down to help out, you will also get a chance to meet some of our Global BC personalities when you bring your donation. Come and say hi!

At Global BC – Steve Darling, Yvonne Schalle and Kaitlyn Herbst will be doing part of the Morning News outside, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Steve will then be helping out until 11:15 a.m.

Come down at 12:55 p.m. and meet Leigh Kjekstad and Sonia Sunger!

At 2:10 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. Squire Barnes will be out front of Global BC helping out.

Sophie Lui will then be outside at 4:10 p.m., followed by Jay Durant and Geoff Hastings at 5 p.m. Sophie will be joined by Squire at 6:55 p.m.

At Robson Square – Robin Stickley will start the day downtown at 7 a.m. and continue to help out until noon.

She will be joined by Mark Madryga at noon, who will then be helping out and doing weather hits all afternoon until 6 p.m.
