Old Town is hosting a fundraising car and tow truck show Sunday, March 21 to benefit the family of Austin Gaynes.

Austin Gaynes, 24, was seriously injured during a crash on Feb. 1.  Gaynes was in the process of towing a dump truck on State Road 408 when a car left the road and crashed through emergency vehicles striking Gaynes.  Gaynes suffered serious injuries and rushed to Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center where he spent several weeks battling for his life.  Gaynes succumbed to the injuries and passed away Feb, 25 leaving behind three small children.

The fundraiser held at Old Town Kissimmee begins at 10 a.m. and includes a 50/50 raffle and more in efforts to raise money.  The show organizer, Mike Clark, is a dedicated Friday Cruiser at Old Town and a member of the Mopar Mafia car club.  Participants of the car club and area tow trucks, including Johnson’s Wrecker – the company Austin Gaynes worked for – will be in attendance.

The fundraising event is free to the public and guests are encouraged to attend.
